Flickr pictures

New pictures are up on flickr. A good chunk of them are from the FDR Memorial in D.C. but if you go far enough in there are new ones of Zayley.

Highlands Street Fair

*I'm having some trouble loading a couple of pictures so there will be more pictures included on this blog later.

A little over two weeks ago, we went with Ben, Rachel, and Brian to the Highlands street fair. We wanted to check out the band, Paper Bird, plus you all know I’m a sucker for street fairs.

A good time was had by all amidst the hippies and the hipsters but boy howdy was it hot.

Zayley got to ride around in the sling with me and I have to say that we’re getting better at using that thing all the time. Thanks Gramma Jo! Also, she enjoyed hanging out with her good friend Brian.

Izzy even got some love from some random stranger.

On our way out we stopped at one of the vendors that was selling all kinds of cute stuff. While I was admiring the aprons, Zayley spotted the ADORABLE tutus. She begged for one but I told her she’d probably have to wait until Christmas. *sigh*

In Other Baby News...

Our headline story tonight is that Azalea recently discovered her tongue. She can now be seen frequently sticking her tongue out at new people, and at her parents when she wants to make them laugh.

Recent research has discovered that Azalea does in fact like her swing. Experts say that she has been seen tolerating the swing for up to 45 minutes in ideal conditions. Her parents see this as a positive sign, and are hopeful that their days of moving her to a new activity every five minutes are coming to an end.

Azalea has been spotted with handfuls of her mother’s hair on several occasions. A close friend of Miranda says that “she’s considering getting her hair cut but she fears ‘the mom haircut.”

“I haven’t heard the ‘demon cry’ in nearly a month!” reports the Walker’s nosy across the street neighbor lady. This is in reference to the sound that was heard throughout the neighborhood whenever the Walker baby was placed in her car seat. Azalea’s parents say that “she seems to calm down quicker now when we put her in the car seat, though she does let us know initially that she’s not too happy.” The Walker’s tried to keep their comments to a minimum and knocked on wood to prevent “jinxing” the situation.

In our feature, Technology Tonight, we’re singing the praises of webcams and Skype. Azalea commented “I love seeing my grandparents on the computer…it’s just like TV. Sometimes I get cranky because my mom always seems to call when I want to eat or take a nap, but I don’t think my grandparents mind. Plus, it’s awesome because I look like that baby on the E-Trade commercials.” When asked for a follow-up comment Azalea’s mom said, “no she doesn’t look like that E-trade kid…that baby’s creepy.”

That’s all for our blogcast tonight. We will return later on this evening depending on Azalea’s mood.

Happenings

This is the scene down the road right from my house right now-

I sent a news tip to 9-news. I'm so important. I'll bet they call later tonight and offer me a job.

Dinner With the Folks

Well hello my adoring readers.

Though you may not be able to tell, I am sitting at the dinner table with my parents. That's right, just like a real human person. This is because at my recent visit to the pediatrician, the doctor told my mom that it was okay to start feeding me some solids when she thinks I am ready. I've been hearing the words "rice cereal" a lot lately, and mom has been talking about letting me play with it and make a mess with it...sounds fantastic if you ask me. For now though, I'm just entertaining my parents while they eat by sitting in my chair and chewing on Mr. Lion. (Just between you and me, I don't think they get out very much because they laugh really hard whenever I try to chew on the lion...I don't see what's so funny.)

So stay tuned everybody! Because in a couple of weeks I'll be eating the crap out of this "rice cereal" stuff.

I Guess You Can't Pick Your Family

But luckily you can eat them when their defenses are down.

I Have a Cousin!

Hi Everybody! I just wanted to take this opportunity to welcome my new cousin William into the family (I will be calling him Willy. I asked Aunt Laurel and Uncle Lorney and they said it was okay).

Dear Willy, I'm excited to come to California soon and see you. I hear you weighed 11 pounds when you were born which apparently is a lot. Way to go. I'm glad I got to see a picture of you too...clearly good looks run in our family. Anyway, here's some free advice: try sleeping through the night as early as you can. I think it makes your parents love you more.

Love, (your favorite cousin)

Look What I Can Do!

Zayley's favorite party trick is sticking her whole fist in her mouth. Here she demonstrates for some of her favorite people, Rachel and Brian.

This One is Pretty Much Only for the Grandparents

Chatty Zayley
